- Power of Attorney, notarized and legalized by Appostille or by the Argentine Consulate. One POA is sufficient for subsequent applications.
- Obtentors full name, citizenship, and address.
- Common and scientific name for the species. Designed name for the variety.
- Stability verification date and multiplication mechanism. Place where the variety was obtained.
- Detailed description of the morphology and of the physiological characteristics of the variety.
- Basis of the novelty, stability test, and date in which the variety was multiplied for the first time.
- Country of origin of the variety.
- Indication if the variety was registered in other countries.
- Technical producer.
- Reproduction mechanisms.
- Procedures for keeping purity.
- Designation of the transformation event if it is a genetically modified organism for ADN recombination.
- Other notable related aspects.
- Photos and drawings of the variety and novelty basis.
- If an international priority under the Paris Convention is claimed, the following are the requirements:
- Country and application number and date of the priority. This information must be stated when filing in Argentina.
- Priority documents. A certified copy must be filed within ninety (90) days from the filing date in Argentina, together with a sworn translation into Spanish.
